One thing you might want to try is to get your bolt tuned up by a gunsmith. 10/22s have sloppy headspace from the factory. After getting my bolt tuned, I can shoot really tight groups with a stock barrel. So tight, I actually took off the heavy contour GM barrel I used to have on it.
